A weekend in Ames (IA) lovingly curated by Dog-Eared Bookstore and Midwest Reading Retreat.
Spend some quiet time exploring and reading at Reiman Gardens. Then stroll along Main Street in downtown Ames for the Farmers’ market, eclectic shops, and delicious eats. All registered attendees will have the opportunity to attend a hands-on cooking workshop at The Recipe with a multi-course tasting menu designed to recognize and honor Juneteenth. On another evening, a group dinner will be provided at Dublin Bay – Irish Pub and Grill. Looking to have a pint and read? On Saturday, Torrent Brewing Co. will have space reserved just for retreat guests inside their tasting room, as well as on their outside patio. What could be the cherry on top of this fun filled weekend? Dog-Eared Bookstore has a one-of-a-kind author meet-and-greet planned for you! This author will be signing books too!
